This is not a hoax...

There is actually something to this post!!! Sorry about the last few, I have been having some major technical difficulties! The post setting has defaulted to 'edit html' (took me FOREVER to figure this one out) and so when I tried to add images it added text. So I would delete the text but somehow I still managed to post it... Well, glad I figured it out! so here we go...

We met up with some cousins in Mesquite and turns out their McDonalds is sooo much better than ours! Yeah, we spent over two hours there (lucky kids, I usually last about 30 minutes), probably because there is nothing else to do in Mesquite... well, take that back, we also went to Walmart and Dollar tree. Yes, yes, I know we have those in St. George, but we dont have the Rogers'! (they live in Vegas) Ooooh! I also got a Jamba juice. I may drive back down just for another one of those!!

I totally climbed up in when we were the only ones in there and snapped some pics! Turns out... they are really disgusting inside!
Taylor

Luke

He always scares me the way he holds his drink, it is just a spill waiting to happen!!

Little stinker!! the best pictures I get of him he never is looking at the camera! Mostly because if he sees the camera he turns his head!
haha! I loved their chairs!

They had the hamburgers, fries, grimace and the green guy. You dont see them very often anymore! They used to be in all the advertisements... anyone else remember that? probably just me!Aw, best buds! Abby counted down the days until she could see Sarah!

What happened to my baby?

He grew up! That's what happened...
Today my baby is two, here are a few of his favorite things:

*He LOVES Thomas the tank, I catch him singing the song to his trains all the time. sooo cute!
*He is crazy about broccoli, what kid likes broccoli??
*He adores Abby and tries to do everything she does, which ends up with him getting hurt more often than not...
*He can sing his ABC's and count to 15 in english, and seven in spanish
*If he doesnt want to do something, there is no chance in ... well you know where... he will do it
*In the last few weeks he has started talking like crazy!! for a while I wondered if he even knew how to talk, or if he understood anything we were saying to him, well he just started spitting out full sentences, so something is getting through!
*He now LOVES nursery... not so much in the beginning but he wont even look back when we drop him off

Well, thanks for letting me brag/share! Off to get his party ready!!

"huck finn pants"

I got a book called "Weekend Sewing" by Heather Ross a few weeks back because they had this one pattern in it I just had to have... Yeah, not the best reason to buy a 12 dollar book, but hey- I found a few others I liked in it! I made a dress for Abby last week (sorry, no pic). It was a cute cherry number, halter style with a big red ribbon to tie in to a bow. Well, it didn't end up like I wanted and she has to wear a shirt under it or "my nip shows". Nice, Abs. I busted it out for a pair of pants after dinner tonight. Best news of all?? He actually liked them!!!

Ben says they look like golf pants. I think they turned out pretty cute. Oh, and they only cost about 50 cents!
Oh man, think twice before you get this book, there are soo many errors that I have read about while googling projects to see what other people have made with the book. These pants were giving me a hard time, the pattern pieces end up being shorter than each other! what?? Maybe I am not an advanced enough sewer and they were meant to be that way, but dang!

ps I havent made that pattern I bought the book for yet... maybe someday;)

Why did I even bother??

Seriously, why did I put 3 hours into this shirt and a lot of frustration?? Because I thought it would be super cute on my little man! And, well, it was... I think... (I will explain later;) I made this from a button down shirt handed down from one of the Uncles. It was kind of hard, but I will probably give this pattern another try when I get another old shirt.

From what I could tell, it was a little too big. The sleeves looked a little long...

But I couldn't really tell because he HATED it!! To be fair, he pretty much hates wearing any type of clothes, but it was still pretty frustrating. At least Abby likes what I make her, haha.
I think this would look so cute with a pair of gray dickies! maybe I will try to make a pair similar to those... well, another day!

Just couldn't wait!

I just made this tonight and decided to post them now because it will probably be overlooked with Jack's other presents... That's right, Jack is turning 2 on friday!! crazy!! He is SOOOO in to Thomas the train right now, and we are getting him a few more for his birthday. Now he only has two, one for each hand;), but soon he will need a way to tote them around so...

Ben's exact words " are you insane? he will tear that apart!" yeah, probably, but do you really think I made this for him?!

Haha, I couldn't wait for the modge podge to dry, so it shows up in this pic! Yeah, I am pretty excited to give it to him and show him how it works!

Lately...

Here are a few things I have whipped up lately...

I decided at 1030 saturday night to make Abby a dress for church the next day... Not the best idea... It only took 2 hours so that part wasn't bad, maybe I should have started a little earlier, haha.
She was so excited when she woke up to it in the morning, it made it all worth it;) There are a few things I would have changed, but that is what I get for making it when she wasn't awake to measure it!

This is what I made my mom for Mother's Day...

Another shirt for Jack, he LOVED the dino one! Not as crazy about this one, but I still think it is pretty cute

This is what I made Ben's mom for Mother's Day... I dont know how to reorder the pics, so this is the inside...

And this is the outside!

Ah... warmer weather...

Well, kind of... the wind started up a bit, but oh well! They can tough it out! We went to a splash pad with Laura, Connor and Rylie yesterday. It was pretty fun, cute kids! We did have a dead frog incident, but other than that lots of fun. Abby picked up a frog and I told her to put it down, then she said "mom, I think it is dead" Ew! I thought it was a toy! so I made her go throw it away, I wasn't going to touch it!! Later in the car she told me, "I knew it was dead because when I pushed it's tummy I heard it go 'woosh' "... That's just great...

Out of all of them, I think he enjoyed it the most!
Little Miss Drama Queen kept telling me it was "too coooooold!" but she had fun laying out on her towel

How sweet is this face?? I think I took more pictures of her than my own kids, haha!

I love his swimsuit! you cant tell here but it has surf boards on it, cute! And I think I might cut Jack's hair like this for summer... I don't know yet, but I am sick of bed head!

Awwww! It was time to go and they gave each other a hug and a kiss... No, we didn't tell them to do it... well, okay we did, but sooo cute! We made them do it again just so we could get a picture;)

ROAR!!!

Fun little boys projects are hard to come by, but I have seen these on a bunch of crafty blogs and HAD to try it out!! Let me just warn you now... I am addicted!! They are so easy and fun.

They are freezer paper stencils and this is my first one... there is another one drying as I am typing this... the possibilities are endless! I like that Jack will now have unique shirts, I have this weird thing where I cant wear clothes from the store I am in. Like I cant wear an Old Navy shirt in Old Navy, weird as heck, I know! but that is just me... So now he can wear this to Walmart, haha.

Playhouse

I have begged Ben for over a year to build a playhouse for the kids... I finally gave up asking, and he came inside last night and said we should make one. Abby got so excited and started to draw out plans for him. It took ALL day long, and still needs some paint, but it is pretty much done.

We went to Home Depot to get all the supplies and she got this apron... she was soooo excited and wore it from the time she got it until the time she got in the bathtub!

They loved "helping" dad, I dont know that Ben loved it...

It is a pretty good size on the inside, the door and window have hinges ready for lots of finger smashing fun.
