Vote!
I am *hoping* the doctor will let me find out the genders tomorrow... maybe, maybe not... And that all depends on if the little nuggets decide to cooperate. Anywho, just for fun vote in my poll on the side bar!!

Oh, Abby.
So, Abby is really good at making messes in her room. I am really good about fighting with her to clean it until I just get mad and do it myself. The latest battle has gone on, oh for probably two weeks. Don't judge me, I have still been feeling crappy;), not that I think you are judging me. My house isn't perfectly clean-ever. Anyways, back to our battle. So I left the house for about 45 minutes today and told Abby she needed to make it clean enough for me to tell a difference. Oh boy. I came home to this:

This ^^ is the entire contents of her closet, thrown into the middle of the room. The closet is what I wanted her to clean, by the way. So I get home and she BEGS me to help clean it.

See? Nice and clean. Well, I finally got so fed up with it I went in and emptied out 2 overflowing garbage cans. Mind you, we still use Ben's metal garbage can that is a 30 gallon one. Ugly, but it does it's job. So let's just say it should be A LOT easier for her to clean her room. Am I the only one who fights with their kids about this? I am open for advice;)

mad skills.
So forever Jack has refused to draw on his own. People, trains, animals you name it, someone else did it for him... and he would throw a tantrum if you didn't do it for him- immediately! But recently he has been drawing circles, and slowly adding features until...

He calls it his happy face. I love the little legs minus the body:)

Uh, are you SURE?!
Yeah, that was my reaction. I went to the doctor Thursday afternoon and was impressed they did an u/s that early. I had never been in that soon (insurance reasons), I guess this dr does them on all his first visits. It was the usual, doc was running 45 minutes behind... contemplated leaving... (ok, no I didn't but I imagined just leaving) Anyways, Ben wasn't there, because I thought it was just a routine checkup.
So he starts to do the u/s and slides it from one side to the other, to the other, to the other, to the other, etc. By this time I think I see what he sees. Then he put it right in the middle and said "here is baby a, here is baby b." What?!?!?! "so... there's TWO of them in there??" I was so in shock I didn't know what to say... didn't know what questions to ask... btw, I have about a million now! He said baby a is measuring 13w3d and baby b is measuring 13w4d. They are in two sacs with two seperate placentas, I am told that is the prefered way. So everything is good as of today!!
This is 13w2d

This is 13w2d I was frustrated in the begining because I had put on 15 pounds! Then I was sooo sick I lost 7. I was thinking, how much will I be putting on if I gained that much already, this was before I knew about the extra one in there, so now I am not as worried.
The funny thing is, I always had a feeling it was twins. I was in bed the night before my appointment and I was so excited, I felt the baby move! I stayed still for a few minutes and it kept happening, then I felt it on the other side and decided it just must have been gas. nope! Baby A is VERY active at night, Baby B is more active in the afternoon. But once one starts they both do.
I am told I am past the scary part for twins. Well, luckily I didn't know there was a scary part! I am just taki png it one day at a time, trying not to get stressed about the risks like them being born early, or having to have a csection, and I am sure there are many more but if you know them don't tell me! :) Here's to a healthy and lengthy pregnancy! Can't wait to see what they are!! I have my feeling, but we will see!

Featured.
Okay, allow me a little brag moment. If you don't want to hear it, don't read on:)
I follow a few sewing blogs and have made items from their tutorials. I add them to flickr, because it is fun to share and see what other people do too. Well, two of the sites I follow have featured my pictures of multiple things I have made! I was so excited! A few months ago makeit-love it showed off my pettiskirt made for Avree and a dress I made for Abs. Then today craftinessisnotoptional showed one of my barbie dresses, a ruffle bib and felt food. I was so excited to open it up and see my creations!! Thanks for allowing me to brag:)

Catching up...
So this is our last few weeks. Nothing too exciting, except Christmas, of course:)
We had our annual Laidlaw family Christmas party, usually held in Vegas, in St. George this year. Ben works with a guy who plays santa every year. Grows his hair and beard out all year, bleaches it all, bought a thousand dollar suit and such. He says he goes to Vegas Christmas Eve and makes a killing. Well, he was nice enough to squeeze our party in between two others he had scheduled. He was amazing!

Abby asked for a pillow pet. She was one of the first to jump on his lap.

Jack on the other hand was a little more cautious. I didn't think he would actually sit on his lap. I think this face says it all. Well, he warmed up to him and asked for trains. The rest of the night and the whole next day all he could talk about was seeing Santa. Which is pretty funny considering he was terrified of him!

Then the kids acted out the nativity. So cute.

Wow, Abby was so serious. I explained it was a reverent time and not to goof around, she took me very literally:)

There were many more pictures... and tons of the adults, but I will save those for blackmail, haha:)
Then Santa gave out Great Grandma Laidlaw's presents to all the kids as if he had brought the gifts just for them. It was a hit, the kids thought it was awesome Santa knew just what to bring them. It was funny, one of the younger kid's present was near the bottom and when his name wasn't called for a while he started to cry:( but he soon got his and life was good again.
