My appointment.

So... I keep picking the wrong day to go in... oh well, I guess. I got right back in a room and asked the nurse if I was supposed to be scheduled for an u/s (secretly hoping to talk them into it so that I could maybe get a chance to find out the genders;) knowing the doctor said last time he likes to do one every appt until after 20 weeks because then he can make positive he is getting both heartbeats. She said she would go ask the doctor and left my door ajar. I had hope. Ten minutes went by and my door was shut without a word. My heart sank a little. An HOUR later the doctor comes in with a doppler and I said, "darn I was hoping to find out the genders today, but that's okay maybe next time." He thought about it for a minute and said "let's see what I can do because I want to make sure to get the seperate heartbeats." I half heartedly said "I know you are busy, so it isn't a big deal, I can find out next time." He decided to try and get me into an u/s room, but it was VERY busy. So... THIRTY minutes later I got changed to an u/s room... This happened last time, where I wasn't scheduled for one but the doc wanted one, but at least then I got right in.

I got in the room and the doctor was right there. So it began. He checked the heartbeats, and they looked good. One baby was head down and the other is transverse right under my ribs but they both had their butts by each other. He checked the gender of one and then the other. Then he said they were moving around so much he wanted to check again. So he did. And again, and again. He went back and forth as quickly as he could so he made sure he was seeing two different ones. We were in there less than ten minutes and he said they had changed position at least twice. I guess there is enough room in there... for now, haha.

Oh, by the way... TWO GIRLS!!

  1. Oh girls! I'm so glad they gave up the goods! I HATE waiting at the doc. Sheesh. Could they not have figured this all out a little quicker??? I'm still convinced that's the reason I had high blood pressure with Olivia at the end. "Let's stick the fat, pregnant oven of a lady in the tiny, hotter-than-hot exam room and then take her blood pressure a half hour later." It was high. Surprise. LOL You poor thing! At least you got to find out! I was looking at the pics you put on facebook thinking to myself "that's a lot of baby in a little space!" I bet they're happy as can be!
